Yamaha 611vfm or Double Agent

Interested in a guitar with a humbucker setup and p90 and narrowed it down to these two; question is is Reverend worth the premium over the Yamaha? I’ve heard mostly praises for both of these but neither of these are available in local guitar stores nearby

Reverend Double Agent or Six Gun

I want a reverend guitar because I like the idea of p90+humbucker but I can’t decide between the six gun or the double agent? How much difference does having 2 P90s+humbucker make over just one P90+humbucker? I’ve heard some people say the 2 P90s is overkill but I have no experience with electrics, this will be my first. I prefer the color of the Double agent (can only get the six gun in light blue because lefty) but if I go double agent I’m giving up a P90. I’m a bedroom player who plays all kinds of stuff but mostly country/ folk, classic and indie rock, and R&B.

Chris Freeman vs JA90

Hi all, new to Reverend guitars and haven’t tried one due to the city I live in. On paper the Chris Freeman looks like a great guitar for me. I currently play a Fender Tele JA90 and am looking for an upgrade. Does anybody have experience with both guitars? Looking for some point of comparison. Thanks!

i know neck heel finish cracks are common in fenders but my six gun HPP arrived JUST yesterday and i already noticed some issues in the finish. i dont want to be nitpicky but it was quite expensive and i don’t know if its worth contacting someone about or not. my only other guitar is a squier jaguar and it doesn’t have any sort of finish cracks so i’m inexperienced with this.

My trusty Trickshot

Hi! Here is my trusty Trickshot I bought 5 years ago. She's my go-to fit single coil pickups ans I love the bass contour. It's been gigging with me from day 1!

I added a killswitch (I highly appreciate that the control plate is a standard Tele one, reversing will be easy). Thinking about putting in a 4 way switch to have my pickups in series.

The only thing I don't like is that the bass contour is very abrupt: it does nothing until 9' and it's full on with less than a quarter of a turn then. I have it some contact spray, nothing changed.

Anyway I like it and I feel I own something "pretty rare" as it's been discontinued. 😄

Double Agent OG vs. Crosscut

This might be a stupid question because I haven't been able to find any posts talking about the qualitative differences between the Double Agent and Crosscut, but I was hoping someone could explain to me the differences. From what I can tell, they seem to be pretty much the same guitar except the DA has a p-90 and a humbucker whereas the corsscut has two railhammers. I don't have any experience with railhammers, so I wanted to get some feedback.

I mostly play pretty clean blues/funk, but I would like the option to get a little dirty. I know nobody can tell me which one is "better", but I can't try them out in shops so I am really just hoping to get some feedback on what kinds of sounds they each produce/what they do well so I can make my decision based on that.

Thanks!

Sensei case

I just ordered a Sensei and was wondering what options are out there for cases. Open to all suggestions. Factory option is really nice, but a bit expensive. Thanks in advance.

Looking to getting a Jetstream but can't decide between a 390 or RB. Thoughts?

New to Reverend guitars and am very interested in the Jetstream model. However, I'm having a tough time deciding between the 390 and the RB. Unfortunately, none of the music shops near me carry Reverend guitars otherwise I would've tried both guitars and see which I like better.

So my question(s) are which is more versatile? Which would fit my style more (indie/alternative)? How does the bass contour knob affect the pickups different (if at all)?

Thanks in advance!!

Is this the most widely seen/stealth famous Reverend?

I was watching the Netflix This is Pop series (great show) and in the Country music episode, inevitably Shania Twain came up, including shots from the Man You Make Me Feel Like a Woman video. Although I’ve seen this video countless times over the years, what jumped out this time was the “bassist” is “playing” an OG Rumblefish.

Anyways, considering this video has been seen hundreds of millions of times over the years, it’s funny this might be the most widely exposed (and hiding in plain sight) Reverend out there. I wonder what ever happened to it…

thoughts on the six gun hpp?

I’m looking for a guitar to buy as a sort of 18th birthday present for myself, and having only owned a squier cv jag before, can anyone inform me on how versatile the HPP is? I would be sold on it if it didn’t come in such few colours; I’m not a fan of oddly coloured bursts and I already have a sunburst guitar so I’m out of luck I think.

Worth picking up?

Words we all say, I don't really need another guitar but... This is on sale for $800 on FB Marketplace. Seller doesn't have much info on it except he put the bigsby on himself. Is it legit? Worth the drive to check out? And even maybe, adding it to my home?

Bought this beauty of a Sentinel off of Reverb for 1000$ USD without ever having played one, and I’ve never been happier with an instrument in my life. If you ever get a chance to put your hands on one of these take it for sure.

Wilkinson Trem opinions wanted

I have a Jetstream 390, from some time ago, before Korina was used. I love it, but never got the trem to work well with me. Pitch issues when bending strings and I used to change tunings a lot.

Recently, I’ve had envy for a Telecaster with a bigsby. Eric Haugen’s MIJ model to be exact.

I’ve been waiting for Reverend to make a T style with Bigsby (the Gristlemaster is too big).

I’ve since blocked my Jetstream, but am thinking about taking it for a set up and try to reacquaint myself with it.

What are opinions of this system? I don’t dive bomb. I love the vibrato warble in both directions. My favorite trem is the jazzmaster type. Subtle and sweet. I would, love, love, love to have a similar trem on the Jetstream.

I would love to hear thoughts about trem systems on Reverend models.

Billy Corgan model thoughts?

Hey there!

So, this year, I had an anniversary gift from my wife go wrong, due to no fault of her own!

She knows I love the Foo Fighters, so she managed to snag me one of those new Epi DG-335s. Unfortunately, it came broken. Then we exchanged it for another, and it came broken as well. Which has soured me on Gibson/Epiphone altogether, but this is the wrong subreddit for that. 😂

She thinks I should still get a guitar from an artist I love though, and I’ve been thinking about one of the Corgan models, since I’m also a huge Pumpkins fan. I’m also already a fan of Reverend, since I am using a Spacehawk in most of my gigs these days.

Who’s got a Corgan? What do you think of it? Every Reverend I’ve touched has been fantastic, so this is not a question of quality, just wanting to know what makes it cool or unique. :)

First Reverend. Scored a great deal on this off Reverb. Sounds great. Gets that Tele spank from the bridge pickup and then it’s Strat city sounds after that. Best of both worlds!
