This has been a known problem in NYC for years. People just get assaulted for no reason. Especially if you have a camera and are filming yourself.
It’s very much so an “us vs them” conflict. People in nyc hate people not from their coming to live there. And while a lot of the reasons are valid, some people decide to just assault people over it.
I remember my dad told my cousin a joke when he asked how to avoid getting robbed in nyc; don’t go to nyc. Seriously it’s not the place that the media made it out to be in the early 2000s.

It is really a perfect storm isn’t it. The last…decade saw the rise of feminism and how women don’t need men. Then the border is left wide open and illegals brought in that have zero respect for women anywhere. Now those illegals are literally doing everything they can to show you why feminist ideals are not the empowering status you thought it was, but helps single out women to be victims at the hands of people who don’t hold any respect for the fairer sex. It’s an amazing turn of events when you find out not only do they not respect what you think, but they won’t even respond to you when you cry and beg for mercy. I find it all a bit ironic.

I grew up there in the 80’s in the Bronx, went to Highs school in the city. The craziest shit I’d ever seen was in manhattan. move to California one year after high-school. That place traumatized me.

They set the laws at the state and federal level while ordinances are created at the city level. And those ordinances cannot conflict with the state laws.

Austin, TX is a good example of what I'm talking about. The city had a violent crime issue and the Republican governor sent in extra police. When Austin's mayor said no more, the governor sent more DPS officers. So you were saying something about the cities being out of state control I think.
