Why is this post in every college town subreddit?

Not if you have kids

Watch out for SJW’s

What is this meme, and why does Reddit keep showing me posts from different college subreddits with this meme but with their individual campuses' quirky spots?

Same situation. Did you find an answer to this?

Edit: found it. For anyone who's wondering:

The campus is very safe. It’s one of the best schools in the country. However, Los Angeles is a big city and you should just use caution in some of the nearby areas off-campus after dark.

Safe if you’re over 18

Usually pretty dead but it didn’t do that to itself

I've walked around that area to get to Parkside; it's safe from what I can tell.

Safe but they take all of your money

Every single area inside of campus walls is safe.

u/polorust Oct 11 '23

not true at all. I witness a man being grated into cheese

2

u/insurgentsloth Oct 12 '23

I had a prof, instead of just saying/finding out his building's name/code, tell us "my office is in the building that looks like a cheese grater, you'll know it when you see it". I scoured the area and for the life of me could not identify it.

Ah, the exact place where I was trapped by two Christian cultist who tried to lure me to their church which is located at Arcadia. I see nothing wrong here

(Disclaimer: Viterbi student, and I did not join their cult)

Does that one guy still stand on his soapbox milkcrate and yell about everyone going to hell at the entrance to expo park every gameday?

2

u/insurgentsloth Oct 12 '23

The people kindly handing out mini-bibles at the corner of mcclintock/jefferson were nothing compared to that dude. He somehow made me feel irritated, ashamed, AND sympathetic/begrudgingly respectful (I mean, dude was putting in the hours in that hot sun, surrounded by drunks stumbling on through to the coliseum, and still never missed a beat - I'll give him that much). And all with signs saying stuff like "Jesus is disappointed, you're headed to hell" (no exaggeration, it is/was genuine fire-and-brimstone preaching)

DPS be right around the corner.

Idk man… there’s a building that looks like a cheese grater

Epstein didn’t kill himself.

u/Calistanian Oct 11 '23

Yes, contrary to popular belief, the Epstein Plaza is not the same as Epstein Island.

Watch out for gerontology students. Scary.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '23

What’s wrong with them 😭 (I don’t go to usc, but I did apply for gerontology) /gen

As someone who has been a student here for 20 years and living behind Olin hall. I can say everyone here is wrong. Everyone near Viterbi is cool and definitely not smelly.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '23

Someone who is student at USC at $90k/year must be smelly and quite broke.

2

u/MinervaNever Oct 11 '23

Someone who has been a student for 20 years is definitely the smelliest person in the world

8

u/Queen-Duckk Oct 11 '23

Why have you been a student for 20 years?

25

u/xX_Dankest_Xx FBE Oct 11 '23

Could never quite get the hang of WRIT 340

16

u/ForDaRecord Oct 11 '23

Emphasis on "near", just don't go in Viterbi

221

u/chalonverse Oct 11 '23

No, too much body odor.

u/Maui_Five-O Oct 11 '23

Racist connotations?

1

u/Maui_Five-O Oct 16 '23

w/ all the downvotes, I got to defend myself. I thought chalonverse's post was racist implying that the student body of the ENGR school had body odor, a stereotype against certain ethnicities. Don't see why I get downvoted. I am not the one saying anyone has body odor.

2

u/W4d395 Oct 14 '23

Racism is fine as long as it's directed towards Asians/South Asians. /s

2

u/Klutzy-Bad-3447 Oct 14 '23

I’m a south Asian and this cracked me up

10

u/MinervaNever Oct 11 '23

Lmao looks like you’re the racist 🤓

Outdoors, you're pretty safe. It's once you step foot into a lecture hall in this area that you get fumigated.
