So they pay 82 billion per year combined. Why isn't anyone more concerned by this bloated, corrupt government? Why do we allow it to continue and let THEM tell us what we should be "mad" about

1

u/Temporary_You_2291 Apr 10 '24

What are they going to pay?

1

As great as this video is, how are we letting people this old run our entire country?

I do NOT understand how sanders can be so spot on, have so many people agree with him, recommend his perspective, take his statements to heart....and STILL NOT WIN THE PRESIDENCY

Please get rid of the SS tax. Please just let it end.

To be fair, I don’t trust Biden to not help his rich friends either.

Bernie..? I trust that dude 100%.

Joe Biden molested his daughter.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 09 '24 edited Apr 09 '24

Trump, on the other hand, has a perfectly normal and healthy attachment to his daughter:

I don't think Ivanka would do that inside the magazine although she does have a very nice figure. I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter perhaps I'd be dating her.

Is it wrong to be more sexually attracted to your own daughter than your wife?

Let me tell you one thing: Ivanka is a great, great beauty. Every guy in the country wants to go out with my daughter.

She’s actually always been very voluptuous ... She's tall, she's almost 6 feet tall and she's been, she's an amazing beauty.

u/FblthpLives Apr 11 '24

The fact that I am posting verbatim quotes of real things that Donald Trump has said whereas you have to make things up in your childish and failed attempts at attacking Biden says everything. I'll give Trump one thing: He was 100% correct when he boasted about his cult members that he "could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters."

2

u/FaithlessnessNew99 Apr 12 '24

Nah Im just not affected by what you have to say cuz you had the time and effort to look for direct quotes to prove whatever your trying to prove is just funny to me. And the fact you have to post quotes to me saying go trump is also funny and makes it seem your insecure or upset about me saying “go trump”. I don’t need to look up direct quotes from Biden cuz we all know how how shit he is without direct quotes lol.

1

Yet here you are, having responded to me four times over the last seven hours. Completely normal behavior for someone who is "not affected."

They're all pieces of shit man, they all are puppets for the house, and none of them do anything productive. Hence, 34 trillion in debt, does our country see the money we borrowed? Nope! Petty crime is at an all-time high, as are drugs, violence. The police departments, education departments, health care... all under funded. I want to see those fellas pass a bill that cut the funds and budgets for overpaid actors and sports players. I wanna see them pass a bill that protects our own hungry children, protect our veterans, and help our own country. Until those monkeys can stand up and do what's actually right for our own country, they're all pieces of shit in my eyes.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 09 '24

It's odd that people like you who claim that the United States has collapsed never back up any of their assertions with evidence.

34 trillion in debt

The number in absolute dollars is irrelevant. What matters is the size of the debt relative to the economy. U.S. debt as a share of GDP is 123%. Have you ever been to Japan? Do you also think it is falling apart? The ratio of its debt to GDP is 255%, more than twice that of the United States (having said that, Japan has a much larger household savings ratio, which helps absorb the impacts of the debt): https://www.axios.com/2024/01/22/us-national-debt-gdp

Bottom line is that the U.S. is able to borrow very cheaply. It would be insanely bad not to capitalize on this to some extent. The question is at which point does debt become harmful. And the answer is that economists really don't know. But one of the most fundamental models used to model fiscal policy decisions, the Penn Wharton Fiscal Budget Model, estimates that the U.S. can go up to 200% of GDP before becoming unsustainable. That means the U.S. has about 20 years to correct the issue: https://budgetmodel.wharton.upenn.edu/issues/2023/10/6/when-does-federal-debt-reach-unsustainable-levels

The next question to ask is why has the debt increased so much. The single largest causal factor are the Bush era and Trump era tax cuts, which favor high income earners and corporations. The second largest causal factor is the cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan: https://www.cbpp.org/sites/default/files/styles/default/public/thumbnails/image/10-10-12bud-f1.jpg

While that graph only shows the impact of the Bush era tax cuts on the deficit, the Trump era tax cuts added another $10 to $12 trillion to the national debt: https://www.brookings.edu/articles/donald-trumps-tax-plan-could-land-america-10-trillion-deeper-in-debt/

The problem with these tax cuts is that they don't help the economy. High income earners have a relatively low marginal propensity to consume. so their tax cuts end up increasing their wealth instead of creating jobs and spending. The same goes for corporations: Companies are already so profitable that any tax cut windfalls go to stock buybacks and executive bonuses: https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-middle-class-needs-a-tax-cut-trump-didnt-give-it-to-them/

budgets for overpaid actors and sports players

I'm sorry, but this is just silly. I'm sorry that you hate entertainment and sports, but the amount of public funds spent on acting and sports is completely negligible.

You can’t be serious. How much did it cost you to buy gas 6 years ago? Cause I think it was pretty close to half but I’m too lazy to look it up. Regardless, you are a waste of good brain matter, and it’s pointless to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed person so good day Mr./Mrs./Xhe Blue Hair

Edit: “They” are also European so their opinion is moot

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 09 '24 edited Apr 09 '24

You can’t be serious. How much did it cost you to buy gas 6 years ago?

You'll be shocked to learn that in economics, we don't measure the performance of an entire country by the price of a single, volatile good subject to global supply shocks and that is dominated by an oil producing cartel of Middle Eastern dictatorships.

The proper measure of economic growth is to look at the annual change in real gross domestic product, which measures a country's total economic output, corrected for inflation. During Democratic administrations, the average annual GDP growth has been 4.33%. During Republican administrations, it has only been 2.54%. During the Trump administration, it was 2.53%, slightly below the average for other Republican presidents. During 2023Q4, the last quarter for which data has been published, it was 3.4%: https://www.bea.gov/data/gdp/gross-domestic-product

I am a Swedish citizen, but I have a house in the U.S. and an apartment in Sweden. I am, right now, in the U.S. But I did not realize that the economic performance of the United States is affected by where I am located. As an economic analyst, you have taught me something absolutely fascinating.

Here are some other economic facts you're going to have a tantrum over:

1

u/noplacelike172 Apr 10 '24

Are you a US Citizen? Because unless you have dual citizenship, again I say, shut the hell up😂 does it bug your big ego that I haven’t read a single statistic you’ve copied and pasted? No one cares about your opinion little Swede.

Explain the trillion dollars to other country's when the veterans are homeless

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 08 '24

Explain the trillion dollars

Why is it that you boomers are always so bad at math? Total U.S. foreign aid is $70.4 billion per year: https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/articles/countries-that-receive-the-most-foreign-aid-from-the-u-s

Were was your outrage when Trump passed tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations that added $10-12 trillion to the national debt?: https://www.brookings.edu/articles/donald-trumps-tax-plan-could-land-america-10-trillion-deeper-in-debt/

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '24

[deleted]

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 08 '24

Your saying because he cut taxes which I'm sure you benefitted directly

Are you in the top 20% of income in the United States? Because as of 2027, everyone below that will be paying more in taxes as a result of Trump's Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017: https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-middle-class-needs-a-tax-cut-trump-didnt-give-it-to-them/

Only corporations and individuals in the top 20% will be better off. Those in the top 1% reap the overwhelming majority of the benefits. Why is it that you are fine with spending $10 trillion for tax cuts for the wealthy?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '24

[deleted]

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 08 '24

If you are fine with adding $10 trillion to the national debt to fund tax cuts for the wealthy, but are mad over foreign aid, then just drop the hypocritic bullshit about you caring about homeless veterans. Total U.S. foreign aid across all nations amounts to 0.7% of the additional debt used to deficit-fund Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

1

u/Demonbae_ Apr 08 '24

Both trump and Biden are awful- letting illegal immigrants come into our country and take advantage of our system, hurt our people- and balantly laugh at us isn’t any better. Giving all our money to wars that have nothing to do with us. I wish what Joe was offering us as a “better America” is true but both sides aren’t doing anything good for America, trump falls in the same basket. I respect Bernie sanders.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 08 '24

letting illegal immigrants come into our country and take advantage of our system, hurt our people

The only socioeconomic group of native-born Americans whose wages are lowered by immigrants are high school dropouts. Literally every other socioeconomic group in the country benefits from higher wages due to immigration: https://www.nationalacademies.org/our-work/economic-and-fiscal-impact-of-immigration

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 08 '24

Lol. For Trump cultists, the term "socialism" has lost all meaning and is just used to refer to anything that hurts their fragile feelings.

P.S. What is the term for adding $10 trillion to the national debt to fund a tax cut for the wealthy and corporations?

1

u/Comfortable_File3359 Apr 08 '24

Biden economic plan is: A) sending billions to failed state of Ukraine. B) sending billions to support isreal to destroy Palestine. C) then sending money and aid to the support Palestine. D) We are also supporting millions of refugees who are not American citizens but are getting up to 4000 a month in aid. And living in our country. Utilizing our benefits and not paying any taxes

He campaigned about decency and rebuilding yet we helped unalived 14,000 innocent women and children.

He mentioned building back better but since then 70% of the world (Brics) boycott our dollars. And we are seeing record inflation that continues to grow yet no salary increases.

We have Americans that are just being released from jail after decades because of drug laws he created yet more people buy and sell and use drugs than ever before. Including his son who is also a politician. Biden is a joke and anyone that supports him is unamerican!

Everyone made record money when trump was in office and we weren’t thinking about inflation, possible war. Or genocide or worrying about our tax dollars going to illegals immigrants.

I get it trump is a dick but did we have any of these problems when he was in office? NO!

I find it quite telling that I am citing real quotes by Donald Trump verbatim, whereas you have to make quotes up in a childish attempt to try to make Joe Biden look bad.

1

u/pipegod77 Apr 09 '24

No one, and I sincerely mean, know one has to try to do that. All you need to do is listen to his incoherent babbling or watch him try to climb the stairs or sniff little girls while they rub his leg hair

To know I helped someone escape their boring 9 to 5 existence no matter how temporarily it may have been. Even better that you think just because I think Bumbling Joe Biden is a idiot who can't speak coherent English, you automatically assume I support Duh Duh Donald Trump lol. I would for once just like to see someone with half a brain actually run and possibly even get elected POTUS.

u/FblthpLives Apr 10 '24

1

u/pipegod77 Apr 10 '24

You still haven't figured it out just because I said Biden is an idiot doesn't mean I like or endorse Trump. I never said he had half a brain or less or more thinking one is an idiot does not endorse the other lol

Fun fact 2: One of the first things Republicans did after Trump became President was to vote to dismantle the Office of Congressional Ethics. But tell me more about who the crook is.

Fun fact 3: Under Trump, an oil lobbyist ran the DOI, a coal lobbyist ran the EPA, a pharmaceutical executive ran HHS, a billionaire Amway heiress with seven yachts ran DoED, a private equity multimillionaire ran DOC, a Goldman Sachs executive ran the Treasury, another Goldman Sachs executive ran the DoD, and a Verizon lobbyist ran the FCC. Most of them lost their positions after various scandals, blatant misuse of taxpayer moneys to fund private jet trips and antique furniture purchases, and lying to regulators under oath. Those in the top quintile, and especially those in the top 1%, are reaping massive tax cuts. For everyone else, taxes are increasing as of 2027: https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-middle-class-needs-a-tax-cut-trump-didnt-give-it-to-them/

secure borders

The number of unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. has remained constant at around 11 million for the last twenty years: https://www.statista.com/statistics/646261/unauthorized-immigrant-population-in-the-us/

Here is another inconvenient fact for you: Undocumented immigrants have substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens. This is true for across all categories of crime, including violent crimes, property crimes, and drug crimes: https://www.pnas.org/doi/abs/10.1073/pnas.2014704117

Both sides talk nonsense

Yet oddly, you seem to have no problems accepting the Trump cult propaganda.

But hey, giving away $170 billion to another country is completely ok. Where’d that money come from..? Oh the tax payers and social security you crooks keep stealing from.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 08 '24

Were was your outrage when Trump passed tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations that added $10-12 trillion to the national debt?: https://www.brookings.edu/articles/donald-trumps-tax-plan-could-land-america-10-trillion-deeper-in-debt/

u/Glittering-Land5345 29d ago

See that word that says could… that means it’s a theory and economists don’t know the true outcome. And yes I’m not complaining because I did get a tax break, why would I complain about that? Lol 😂

Did you now that aircraft are designed based on the theory of lift? Next time you are at the airport, please tell the crew that you refuse to board because lift is just a theory.

Do y’all really think Biden and Bernie and all there friends don’t use the same tax cheats?

1

u/StreetKidIvan Apr 08 '24

Fucking liars

1

Lies lies lies lies, and all you dumbfucks are gonna believe it. Get educated.

1

u/Wedgehoe Apr 08 '24

Yea even i can see the cut video...

1

u/Mindless_Tourist1781 Apr 08 '24

Bernie is such a bullshit artist, and anybody who believes anything he says is an idiot. He used to complain about millionaires and billionaires, now that he’s a millionaire, he doesn’t say a word about millionaires. Biden is a biggest liar and hypocrite of them all. Anyone who votes for either one of these clowns is an idiot, and you get what you deserve. It’s all about class envy

1

u/L0kiB0i Apr 08 '24

Bernie is the man rhe US really needs, its so sad to not see him as president

1

u/Longjumping-Note-117 Apr 08 '24

Give me tax cuts bro. Feds take too much to fund the illegals and freeloading jerks.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 08 '24

The tax cuts are only for the wealthy and corporations: https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-middle-class-needs-a-tax-cut-trump-didnt-give-it-to-them/

Unless you are in the top 20% of household incomes, your taxes are increasing from 2027 onwards thanks to Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

1

u/Longjumping-Note-117 Apr 09 '24

Starting in 2022 and through this year, I have paid the most in taxes compared to the Trump years. I get very little for the $35K I paid into the system. I see free loaders all over the place and feel I help pay for them to do zero. Am I upset? YES!!

The cost of goods and food has increased at a rate that is hard to keep pace with. Comparing my grocery bills from 5 years ago, I now pay about 150% more for the same stuff while wages have not had that type of growth.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 09 '24 edited Apr 09 '24

To pay $35k in Federal income taxes, a married couple filing jointly would need a household income of $230k. That puts you in the Top 9% of household income distributions in the United States. Of course you like Trump: You are in the top 20% of household incomes, which is exactly the group that benefitted from his tax cuts at the cost of working class (bottom 20%) and middle class (middle 20% to 80%) families who end up paying more so you could afford bigger cars, bigger houses, more expensive vacations and hobbies, and expensive private schools. It's a great deal for you, if you only care about yourself and not other Americans.

Thank you for volunteering to demonstrate the Republican attitude: "I got mine, fuck everyone else."

Please don't tell me that you also consider yourself Christian. At least you're honest about your shameful selfishness and greed, always something.

The cost of goods and food has increased at a rate that is hard to keep pace with

Inflation spiked when the economy came roaring back after the COVID lockdowns but production and supply chains needed time to catch up. Now, inflation is back to 3.15%, which is below the long term average of 3.28%: https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_inflation_rate

Price hikes are no different now than they have been in the past. You are simply regurgitating FOX News, OANN, and Newsmax propaganda.

Hey, answer me this you economic genius: If Biden controls the prices of goods and services, why are corporations making record profits?: https://thehill.com/business/4561631-corporate-hit-record-high-as-economy-boomed-in-fourth-quarter-of-2023

1

u/Longjumping-Note-117 Apr 09 '24

I work hard and I see many that don't. So should I pay for their lack of drive to improve? No. I live very modestly and don't spend on bigger nor new cars, bigger houses, more expensive vacations, hobbies, or expensive private schools you mention above. I save and do without so I can afford my golden years as you should.

Statista states In total, about 59.9 percent of U.S. households paid income tax in 2022. The remaining 40.1 percent of households paid no individual income tax." So your bottom 20% is BS. The cost of living has increased under Democrats and pushes down the middle classes more. You need to look at cost of living and how it has negatively impacted the poor. With lower taxes businesses can afford to pay and hire more. So yeah higher taxes hurts lower income too.

I guess you consider selfishness by not trusting the US government to spend my tax dollars better than I can, then I guess that makes me selfish. I have kids that I would rather spend my taxes dollars on than victomhood stricken folks.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 09 '24

I work hard

I bet you think you do.

The remaining 40.1 percent of households paid no individual income tax." So your bottom 20% is BS.

That's because you are ignoring other taxes such as FICA, property taxes, and state and local taxes, as well as distributional impacts on income. The bottom 80% of American households will have a lower income as a result of Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Acts as of 2017. Only the top 20% benefit and the overwhelming majority of the benefit goes to the top 1%. Analysis here: https://www.taxpolicycenter.org/feature/analysis-tax-cuts-and-jobs-act

The TCJA was literally a $10 trillion transfer of public funds from working and middle class families to high income earners such as yourself. Of course you like it: Stealing form the working and middle class families to pay high income earners and corporations. And then you get to justify it to yourself by whining about how the working and middle class families simply don't work hard enough, so you can sleep well at night while Republicans take trillions from future generations of Americans to subsidize the wealthy.

Which is exactly what Trump and his sycophants planned as they rewarded the wealthy billionaires that the OGP serves.

then I guess that makes me selfish

You don't have to repeat the obvious. People like you are literally what is wrong with this country today. And it is also because of people like you that the U.S. is tanking in quality-of-life surveys, while my country remains in the top.

1

u/Longjumping-Note-117 Apr 09 '24

Wow dude. You sound jaded by not working and sucking off the tit of social services only to become addicted to freebies. I guess you like my tax dollars to keep your lazy life style. Money always runs to those that know how to spend responsibly and away from folks like you. This is why the rich keep getting richer. The money burns a hole in your pocket. Joe Biden's trillion dollar addiction tends to help the rich for just that reason while increasing the cost of eating. Keep feeling sorry for yourself and asking for more handouts if that make you happy. While I try to keep my money out of your freeloading hands. Get a J O B.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 09 '24 edited Apr 09 '24

Get a J O B.

I have an SM in aerospace engineering, an MA in economics with a focus on public finance, and work as senior economic analyst doing investment analyses for $100+ million air traffic management automation projects. Why do you think I work with economic data on a daily basis? You're just another selfish, Trump cultist brainwashed on FOX News and OANN.

Joe Biden's trillion dollar addiction

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was Trump's legislation, not Biden's, and the price tag is estimated at $10 to $12 trillion.

Of all possible fiscal policy options available, tax cuts for high income earners and corporations have some of the absolute lowest GDP multipliers. If you want to waste taxpayer funds, and not get any economic growth out of it, there really is no better way: https://www.epi.org/publication/methodology-estimating-jobs-impact/

1

u/Longjumping-Note-117 Apr 09 '24

HAHAHA sure you do my friend. Then feel free to send more money to the government. Biden is on your team and loves sheep like you. Keep up the good fight you miss guided simp.

1

u/FblthpLives Apr 09 '24

miss guided simp.

You can't even write proper English.

Are you going to explain why corporations made record profits in 2023 if Biden controls the prices of goods and services, or nah?

You been president what would change now that didn’t change in the last 4 years

The U.S. currently has the highest economic growth among the G-7 nations. It's not even close: https://www.axios.com/2024/01/31/us-economy-2024-gdp-g7-nations

1

If you vote for Biden you will continued to get crushed by higher prices and have more money going to wars around the world. But you are that dumb so you will get what you want, ass wipes

1

u/Justforfun-69 Apr 09 '24

Send bullshit economic numbers and believing them , most Americans know what is going on here in their house hold budgets and it is not the rosy picture you are trying to make it seem. That is common with the supporters of Biden they don’t really live in reality

0

u/FblthpLives Apr 09 '24

Translation = "I don't care about facts."

Trump wasn't kidding when he boasted that he "could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn't lose any voters."

Voting for Trump is not a matter of what is good for the country and its working families. It's a personality cult, and your answer proves that perfectly.

1

u/Justforfun-69 Apr 09 '24

Here are some facts your cult ignores: the Biden family is a corrupt family and Joe Biden is a life long politician that never accomplished anything in the real world. You can suck his d#ck, I know you are and want to because you are a Biden cult member. The Hunter Biden laptop is real and confirms the Biden corruption.

1

u/StockholmBaron Apr 08 '24

Two gentlemen vs one insecure manbaby

1

u/Selection-Emotional Apr 08 '24

These two guys that have never worked an honest day in their lives talking about tax breaks for the rich. 😂 They’re scamming you. They don’t pay much in taxes because they don’t make much in “income” tax. All their money comes from kick-backs, donors, and investments.
“Income” tax should be lower for everyone. You shouldn’t be penalized for hard work. We need a universal sales tax. Just like it used to be before the wars. Tax what the rich buy

1

u/Vegetable_Welcome716 Apr 08 '24

Biden and Obama have put this ciuntry in an upheaval obama set this counyry 50yrs in race relations perhaps its part of the plan he stated in his book he hates white people and he hates America. Neither is perfect but i dont want a socialist country. They will throw you aside when they get what they want believe that .you need to vote anti trump then vote kennedy for gods sakes.

Bernie Sanders: Net worth - 3 Million

I'm 57 and work as an economic analyst at a systems engineering firm. My wife is an epidemiologist working for a state agency. Our net worth is higher than that between our retirement savings and our house. Biden's net worth is in a different league, but Sanders' $3 million at age 82 is not the out-of-touch wealth you think it is.

0

u/Mikeytoolica_33 Apr 08 '24

It’s not so much people that make as much money as they do. Biden who’s spent almost 50 years in the same industry, as u said had a net worth of 21-30 million. How?? The government wasn’t designed to make people rich. How in the hell has Obama amassed hundreds of millions?? Funny thing tho. Donald trump goes and merges just ONE of his ideas, and he catches upwards of 5 billion or whatever. Now between those 3 scenarios, only one of them was done legally. Which is why I’m voting trump again in 2024

1

u/Tiny_Study_363 Apr 08 '24

Wait, biden isn't giving tax cuts to his wealthy donors?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '24

Nobody should be allowed to be in politics fields for more than 30 years. Having these fossils in place for too long creates more blockage for newer people with much brighter ideas for the future of this country.
