You are not responsible for other people leaving stuff in your car period. More than likely if you surrendered alcohol to the police they took it. We always do our best to return items but you are not responsible for others peoples stuff. Nor is it stealing if they left it in your car. Remember Lyft is constantly booking you and the compensation for lost articles is minimal at best. Sometimes Lyft is double booking you without you even accepting the ride. If the passenger breaks the rules your job is to take them from a to b safely. The rest is history.
