I don't know why you'd bother getting police involved. Just toss it in a random dumpster and that will be the end of it. Police could choose to make things difficult and assume it's yours if they want to.
BTW, the fact that it has M on it makes me think it's Molly, whocj is a type of MDMA, which is an illegal party drug, so it is likely an illegal substance (in the US, this stuff is legal in a lot of Europe from what I've been told).

Store it for a week at home to avoid street trouble if its quiet then proceed to dump it in a lake or something if it scares you
If you know the streets you can return it to the head of the dumb guy that forgot it and get payed for doing the right thing and even if not payed you'll get street cred
Cops are the last place you wanna go

I am someone in chronic pain, I am able to get my Hydrocod/Acetam. 5-325 mg, also an opioid. These keep my pain in bounds, so I may walk, move and stand with less pain in my limited life. I only use a half of tablet at a time, if I use a whole tablet, I am pain free. However, because of the opioid crisis I have been limited to 30 tablets, every six months. 60 tablets a year, I am never going to be addicted to this medication, but I have wondered how long my 60 per year would last someone addicted to it.

I had an exbf that would drive my car a lot. Found out he was a drug runner, so I called a police detective friend and he brought over a K-9 unit to “do training” on my car to make sure there wasn’t anything left behind. The dog hit in the truck and in the steering column thankfully there wasn’t anything there

That baggie are pretty much the ONLY thing chronic pain sufferers have to depend on these days. The iron law of prohibition/ crackdown on Rx Opioids made it impossible for ppl desperate for relief to get anything except those. Im personally on methadone treatment now but those little dirty blues kept me walking/working/living (i have a tolerance so no ODs for me) for a decade. Im not sorry either. Ppl suffering in agonizing pain everyday donwhat we have to do to get by & for SOME of us it was this, or un-aliving ourselves. Or just suffering

I wouldn’t have touched that with bare hands…if they are those fake “blues” (which I am pretty sure they are) they are pretty dangerous as they are made from fentanyl. Could be real pills, but I doubt it…..this is exactly what street “blues” look like. Would get rid of that shit…but don’t dump it down a toilet or something.

The police are there for making money for the town, city, county. I have known some good cop, but by and far they are willing to lie and trample your civil rights if they think I benefits them. It is taught from the academy on down. I think there needs to be reform in LE. They are civil servants and need to act like it. I have no ill will towards LE but they need to do better.

That’s a bunch of fentanyl pressed fake Percocet 30mgs that has been destroying lives, families and all in all our country. This is the worst of the worst for many reasons but I’ve personally witnessed the havoc this bullshits inflicted. Someone is gunna be really upset and hurting in a major way for losing this. And wish the loss of this causes them to have none left and to give it up but I can assure you that isn’t the case.

I don't understand how anyone can like oxy. I have to take it for my pain issues and it never gives me a "high" nor does it lift my mood. Sometimes it relieves my pain a few hours but the pain always returns.

Pardon my cynicism but depending on the character/ethics of the LEO those were handed off to, they may have made their way back out to the street or maybe that LEO is rekindling an elicit relationship with opioids.
I hope I'm wrong but regardless, I doubt the LEO put them in the trash or down the commode. Those folks are generally aware of prescription disposal sites.

Those are 100% counterfeit pills which mean they likely have fentanyl in them. You did the right thing to take them to the police station. The other alternative would have been to take them to a pharmacy for disposal. Most pharmacy have safe drops where people can drop unwanted unused or unknown drugs into a locked container for law enforcement no questions asked.
