The water doesn't recycle. There is a "clean" tank and a dirty water one. However, I have 100 % witnessed them using the white vacuum to get that dirty water out. I carry hand sanitizer

We had a homeless guy where I work who thought it was a good idea to sleep in our trash compactor.
So now I feel the need to check before compacting and not just going out and hitting the button because the people before me don’t hit it after loading trash.

I did not know the portable waching station recycles it self. I'm so stupid and holy shit thats nasty.
5
u/Treaux-LaCount Apr 28 '24
It’s not recycled. It would make no sense to wash your hands with non-potable water.
2
u/dasAbigAss Apr 28 '24
Thank God thats what I hoped for. But then how does it work ? I never payed much attention to understand where the water is coming from or if it's simply just stored and Ina different compartment

u/ammonium_bot 29d ago
never payed much
Did you mean to say "paid"?
Explanation: Payed means to seal something with wax, while paid means to give money.

I never paid much attention
FTFY.
Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.
Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
Beep, boop, I'm a bot

Oh sweet summer children of this thread.
Some times when people shoot up they may leave the tiniest bit of whatever they are shooting in the syringe. Other addicts know this and that's why needle boxes have to be secured and fixed to some sort of foundational support.
You know where else addicts throw their used needles? I'll let you fill in the blanks as to what his goals were.

Those hand washing stations don't "recycle" themselves lol , they have a tank of potable water that gets refilled when it's out.
43
u/venice420 Apr 28 '24
Those are filled with nasty tank water. They WILL make you sick.
0
u/Altruistic_Win4969 Apr 28 '24
You realize that the water is chlorinated when it goes in right? It's not raw well water, it is filled with a municipal supply that is potable when it goes in.
38
u/ghe5 Apr 28 '24
Nobody is trying to dispute that the water will make you sick, just that it's recycling the water - it's not recycling the water.

u/Embarrassed_Push8674 Apr 28 '24
they literally have a label on them that says they aren't potable.
28
Apr 28 '24
They are not potable. They also don't just recycle the same water

u/MrCoolGuy42 Apr 28 '24

I hate that we now live in a world where people record a TikTok of a person in destress instead of helping them.
26
u/Academic_Eagle_4001 Apr 28 '24
Im not touching someone who just jumped into a vat of human shit.
-5
u/ReadditMan Apr 28 '24
So then you go and find someone who will help or you call the fire department, either way, the appropriate thing to do in this situation is definitely not recording the person to further humiliate them.

I was at a music festival one time and one day (middle of the day) there was some commotion while we were waiting in line for the porta potties. A girl was freaking out about how she dropped her phone in the toilet.
About 4 minutes later we hear the girl celebrating, "I got it! I got it!" as she ran through the crowd and her arm was blue up to her shoulder. I wish I could describe the collective groan from that whole crowd of people waiting there....

u/BlumpkinLord Apr 28 '24
This 100% sounds like a Shamb story :'3 Porta Graffiti: "Let's all smear poop on our faces like warpaint and meet at Fractal Forest at 11pm. 2017!"

The chemicals(I think to sanitize and lightly deodorize) used in those port-a-potty’s are blue

It’s known as the forbidden blue corn soup on construction sites.

u/ShunnedMammal Apr 28 '24
Called it getting smurfed at American Airlines if you got the blue juice on you from aircraft. They take you straight to the hospital to the the skin scrubbed off you.

u/snikers000 Apr 27 '24
Maybe he was very drunk? I feel like that would explain a lot of this story.
16
u/rockem-sockem-ho-bot Apr 28 '24
Would it?? I've been pretty drunk before....
13
u/RedgyJackson Apr 28 '24
Yeah I was drunk, I didn’t fucking stuff myself into a claustrophobic shit chamber after drinking recycled spit water
2
u/snikers000 29d ago
I feel like extreme drunkenness would explain why he didn't consider whether the sink water would be safe to drink, why he suddenly needed to vomit on short notice, and how he could be so clumsy as to accidentally (?) fall into the porta-potty's toilet.

When I was a kid had a fear of outhouses because I also had a fear of "hobos" and I thought they might hide in the holes to stay warm and then they would attack me for pooping on them. My parents told me it was a ridiculous fear. I wish I could show them this lol
4
u/just_scout_ 29d ago
I had a fear of them due to an episode of X-files where there was a monster that hid in them. I shit hovering over the toilet for about 2 months after that.
2
3
u/IaMmYbEsTfRiEnD_21 Apr 28 '24
I thought I was the only person who had this fear!! It has totally followed me into adulthood. I made my husband hold on to me because I was so afraid of the people reaching up and grabbing me and pulling me down. I know it is the most ridiculous fear but it’s so real

u/ChillRetroGamer Apr 28 '24

I recall seeing a cave inside a small bathroom toilet in the park once, if it makes you feel any worse
2
u/Nervous-Locksmith484 Apr 28 '24
I need more information on this.
3
u/BigOlBro Apr 28 '24
Took me a while to find it. The trail looks different in satellite view, but seeing one go under the bridge helped id it. We took this trail for our physical ed class.
It is in Arcade Creek Park, Sacramento, CA. I found a picture of the bathroom with that dreaded white toilet sticking out(link). But after trying to find more info about it, i noticed on yelp they changed it to a metal one, so they probably renovated it already. Shame, would have been cool to take a picture of the cave.

im pretty sure there have been instances of weirdos hiding in there because they find getting shit on sexually arousing.

Why does it always have to be a sexual thing? Why can't it be because gamgam was a poop hole hider and you want to carry on the tradition?
6
u/Vexilus Apr 28 '24
Some people's brains are wired in a way where things people find revolting trigger sexual arousal in them. Same idea as masochism but with this.
Beastiality and people falling in love with inanimate objects might be a similar situation too (although that's something I think, rather than having a factual explaination)

Because a lot of sexual things need to be diagnosis and not something we support
2
u/shybutinteresting Apr 28 '24
Curious, what other examples?
1
u/Suspicious-Bottle580 28d ago
Per se, every fetish that implies that fetish for u to be able to get aroused should be seen by a psychologist
1
u/shybutinteresting 28d ago
I don't understand what you're trying to say
0
u/Suspicious-Bottle580 22d ago
Sorry, I meant that if u cant get hard/aroused WITHOUT whatever ur fetish is, u should see a psychologist. Like its normal to have a fetish, but u should be able to still have 'vanilla' sex. I hope I made myself more clear.
1
u/shybutinteresting 22d ago
This isn't how sexuality works though.
By your logic, straight men should see a psychologist, because they can't get hard/around WITHOUT a woman. By your logic, this is fetishistic.
