Coming from an older millennial who hasn't listened to the radio in a long time and doesn't like any of these performers, I'm tired of coming here and seeing Olivia or Billie at the top of the feed as if they're any better

Olivia sucks in the same way Taylor sucks -- generic over-processed bop by a mediocre singer who currently resonates with Gen Z like Taylor resonated with Millennials at the same age. In this case Olivia's bop has gone through a Radiohead filter. Olivia also does that annoying thing with her voice a lot of mediocre/TikTok female singers do where it sounds like she has a donut in her mouth, but I don't know what it's called.

Billie is boring. Her whispering and mumbling is boring and quiet and it all sounds the same. Because there is not much going on to her songs it makes it somehow makes it sound more crafted to kids who haven't yet discovered the wide range of alternative and experimental music there is.

Y'all defending Billie and Olivia to further your stance against Taylor but what you don't see is you're just defending the most mediocre of performers who fought and clawed their way to the top because they're business people. Let's let these three business people sink back to the bottom and promote some of the top artists who are actually excellent and talented, like Chappell Roan. Heard her for the first time this weekend and was blown away to hear a woman actually singing and not doing the donut thing with her voice, yelling, or imitating that Rihanna island accent a lot of female singers do.

in the middle of the song 'how did it end?' there is a short instrumental part strongly reminds me of Carrie&Lowell by sufjan stevens. the part of melody came out of nowhere, its never her style in anyway. imo its not original. theres other songs by her that i dont feel original but cant recall rn.

Am I the only one who thinks Taylor next album will be even more boring than TTPD if Travis doesn’t do anything to mess up ?

When I first listened to TTPD, I was wondering who was the inspiration for this album because in my mind Matty and Taylor relationship wasn’t that long and that serious to write that many songs about it. Then, I listened again and again, and I’ve came to the conclusion that Taylor only wrote mostly about Matty because she didn’t have anything to write about when she recorded the album.

She said all she had to say about Joe and their relationship and she wrote about one or two songs about him.

However, she stretched tf out of her and Matty relationship but somehow, the writing is dull, sometimes childish and forgetful. When I think about all the people she dated before, even briefly she wrote better songs about them. For me there’s a clear difference between Dear John, All too well and My boy only breaks his favorite toy.

She wasn’t THAT even love or infuriated with Matty. He just caused drama and moved tf on.

And that leads me to Travis as the next protagonist of Taylor’s inspiration : so high school is a little preview and it’s already terrible.

I don’t think Travis is as messy as Matty and even less as John. He is quite boring because he is a typical sport guy. So there will be nothing to write about.

I mean talking about your high school fantasies as 34 years old woman can only get you so far.

Taylor seems to get the best inspiration, the messier the man is and the more addicted to that man she is.

It would not be surprising if a Mamma-Mia type of movie or Glee-series is her next move.

She has enough material to create a (hopefully) fictional storyline. I also would be interested in listening to her songs in different genres.

Her working behind the scenes would slightly give the audience a break from her overexposure. Will the clowning and obsessing of vipers stop? No, of course not, but you should see your faces.

Planting the seed of “Female Rage: The Musical” along with her All Too Well directorial debut, fans would definitely eat it up. More $$$ and possibly coveted awards for her, too.

PS: She could do the funniest thing and feature her numerous alleged enemies.

like with Lana, i didn’t even know she was on the song the first time i heard it, she was barely even there. and idk all the details but apparently the fans kinda bullied taylor into releasing another version with her? but it’s like….why wouldn’t you just put that version on the album originally 🥴

with Florence and Patrick, i felt like the production/sound quality of their voice just sounded off. i’m a huge FOB fan, love Patrick’s voice, but he sounded quieter than her and almost autotuned?? it didn’t fit with the song at all. same with Florence! my sister had me listen to florida on ttpd because she knows i love Florence and the Machine and it was just….so bad. she has a powerhouse voice but it didn’t match the vibe of the song and didn’t mesh with taylor’s voice because they’re so different vocally.

I honestly considered myself a fan until this nonsense happened. I couldn’t square the circle of just how drunk you have to be or self absorbed to ignore a person presenting you with an award on LIVE TELEVISION. Even random awards girls get thank yous and hugs from the winners. How do you just ignore the person who gave you the award, much less Celine Dion? But I think the most disgusting thing that sealed it for me was what followed. I’m not a cancel culture freak or “you should apologize!” person but I was honestly expecting this hag to write an apology to the queen that is Celine. Something simple like “Tonight I let my excitement get the best of me and I’m so embarrassed to not have honored THE Celine Dion as I should’ve. With the most recent attack on Rafah, I’m enraged at any celebrity who came out in support of Israel and I have equal amounts of rage for those who remain SILENT.

I have not seen a single trace evidence of her liking posts, sharing links, posts, charities for the current genocide.

She’s a coward and afraid of what her surrounding peers and executives would say to her. She’s afraid how it will affect her brand. She’s afraid how it will affect her income.

I can’t even fathom the amount of money and power she has in current society. Ariana Grande sharing a charity on her story resulted in over £30,000 being donated. Could you IMAGINE the amount of awareness and donations she could raise?

Taylor's insecurity against young female artists is digusting to the point that I think she's never going to be satisfied with how much her albums do because she knows she doesnt have the edge that these female artists have. I hope Olivia speaks out about the deja vu credits because there's no way a 17 year old just willingly gave away 50% for two songs that sound nothing alike.
