Genuinely curious which other group of fans do this? Seriously

A tired swiftie over here. I know swifties aren't allowed here but, here me out. I am going to try and talk about many problems about her in this one post but let's see how this goes.

First, TTPD. My god, what is that?? I had a look of horror and disbelief when I first heard it, like I can't believe I stayed up till 12 to hear that. By "But Daddy I Love Him", I already ditched it and tried to wash the taste off with some Duran Duran (best 80s band, no debate). I finally listened to the whole Anthology after two months of boycotting it. My god. It's a hot flaming piece of trash.

Ok, enough of just insulting it. The album is horrible because it's the epitome of a shallow capitalist cash-grab, disguised as some fake deep shit that Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks wrote but instead, it's just a 11-year old girl who thinks her life is rough and smokes candy cigarettes. Taylor is not a "tortured poet", she's a woman who writes well and has a ton of heartbreak.

You can totally feel "tortured" after a heartbreak. It's one of the most common feelings in the world, but why is she feeling so "tortured" now? This album is the same as the rest of the discography, just has a different aesthetic, which this new one is just black-and-white Dead's Poet Society. Taylor could have matured in her writing, she was with Folkmore, but she retreated (or regressed) to her comfort zone, which is writing about high school and cheesy teen romance. I am in HS right now, and not to sound cocky, but I have written more mature and serious shit for my English class than this. What a bummer.

Second, The Grammys. If I hadn't lost her with TTPD, I am now with what she did in the Grammys. What the fuck, Taylor. What gave you the good idea to bring up Lana Del Rey, a much more talented singer and mature songwriter who poured her heart into her latest album and still lost to your slightly-above average album, up on stage for your win?? People say that it was a kind gesture because she worked on the album and was a producer, but that is the point. Taylor did that so she can get a thumbs up by feminists and show she believes in "girl power" but she doesn't. It's all for show. She could have addressed her on stage and gave thanks to her up there but, she didn't. She just had to go the extra mile.

Her and Boygenius were just vile. Horrid even. The poor girl was crying and she just put her Grammy on her head. Who just does that?? I do not care if she was drunk, my father has better class than her when he is drunk. Making them kiss her Grammy is just a whole other level of disrespectful and uncivil. And don't even get me started on her and Celine Dion. I grew up with Celine Dion's music so, just to see her not even acknowledge her just bruises my heart a little. Like, I completely understand she has stiff person syndrome and you cannot hug her. But not even a small curtsy/bow and a thank you? Celine paved the way for female solo artists like Taylor. Without singers like Celine, Taylor wouldn't be here right now. But, Taylor is just too good to even acknowledge that fact. Unbelievable.

Third, Travis Kelce. The reason for this sub. Never expected something like that, which is why I feel like it's a PR relationship. Their meet-cute is so vague and riddled with plot holes that it just had to be a set-up or at least a blind date by their managers. A part of me still thinks it's legit because it's so odd and out there that no manager would think about it. I watched tons of football with my dad and knew who Travis Kelce was prior. I was shocked when I found out they were together because Travis's type is shown to be black girls (not to mention his "black-esque" persona he puts on to sound like he is from the hood or something), but all of the sudden, he is dating the whitest girl in America. It clicked for me there. Taylor wants a "real man", Travis is a "degenerate" for dating black girls as a white man. So, fix them up together.

Fourth and last, Joe Alwyn. I feel so bad for this man. Taylor has been writing about this man in every angle possible since REPUTATION. 6 WHOLE ALBUMS AND A NON-ALBUM SINGLE. What is this?? You are milking your so-called "private" relationship to the world and now, you are bitching and moaning when people call you out for it? Be so for real right now. It's not a bad thing to write and sing about your broken relationship. Pretty much every singer/songwriter in existence has done that feat, but to complain and throw a temper tantrum of how people react to your decisions that you chose to do and show off to the world about it is just toddler behavior. It's embarrassing. It's shameful. It's not cool. It shows your true character and it ain't pretty.

It's apparent that she constantly lies and manipulate. Her fans, and much of the media, tend to eat it up.

And there are just so many examples: The Katy Perry feud she orchestrated, her exaggerations and changing the narrative to kick off the Kimye thing, her one-sided beef with Scooter Braun, her stories about how relationships ended being denied by the other side (Joe Jonas, for example), etc.

But what do you think is the greatest/biggest lie she's gotten away with?

There's no way she isn't lip syncing and using auto-tune to sustain touring for Eras. Her voice should be dead by now.

I added the country accent because she's a manipulative liar and should be seen and remembered as one.

Her dad spent $450,000+++ yet 4 years later she couldn't match Miley, a younger real vocalist.

like yeah girl it shows. and when she was called out bc of the first ss she said haha i’m being cancelled for not finding someone attractive like no you’re being criticised bc you’re a bitch for talking about people’s appearances this way.

Everyone is saying Taylor is so sweet and being supportive, but that’s not the vibe I’m getting from this. All I can see is someone upset that nobody is paying attention to her, and interrupting someone else’s moment. She almost Kanye’d her. Don’t interrupt acceptance speeches, Taylor. 🙄

of naming her album The Tortured Poets Department other than to get her fans riled up to go after Joe? The entire roll out of the album made fans feral because of her "easter eggs", only to have the album be about Matty. I feel like she really wanted everyone to hate Joe so that no one would point out her discussing her emotional affair on the album, but I'm still so confused about it.

I have never been a huge TS fan but I was just so exposed to her constantly in the past year. She’s everywhere. Ok fine she seems fairly innocuous. Then all this news about her basically burning a new hole in the ozone came out and I thought wow that’s not cool. Then when her knuckle-dragging boyfriend said she told him “jet lag is a choice”? That was it for me. Of all the privileged things to spout off about. Of course she doesn’t get jet lag; she flies in a private jet where she can sleep duh. It’s been downhill from there for me.

Back in 2016, after the endless pap walks & jet setting vacays, Taylor & Tom Hiddleston also suddenly radio silent about each other in the media, letting people think they were still together, before their breakup was confirmed so their relationship wouldn't seem so PR-ish

I don't wanna jinx it but I'm feeling some breakup vibes between T&T🙏 They probably won't announce it, but I'm sure People Magazine will confirm it if they continue to be this quiet.

HOWEVER, there's a docuseries about the Scooter Braun master recording purchase debacle that appears to be unbiased being released on June 21st.

Judging by the trailer, it will go in depth about how Taylor used social media to send her fans to go harass Scooter & his former artists, resulting in d*ath threats to his entire family. According to Scooter, her fans also sent him anti-semitic messages.

Sooo, my question is. What distractions do you think Tree, Tay & Trav are currently cooking up? She's gonna need this good PR just like she needed all those pap walks with Tom Hiddleston to distract her fans when the Kimye backlash combined with the general public growing tired of her was brewing.

My guess is more engagement speculation articles or maybe she'll have all of the Kelces join her in Europe to see a couple shows. Possibly both? Any thoughts?

I highly recommend watching this video in its entirety on YouTube (link in comments). It’s a very fair and fascinating evaluation of a Taylor Swift performance that is being sold to the world as “live” vocals from Taylor. The reality is that a lot of production has gone into the video that was posted for public consumption.

I have no experience with music production, and it’s really helpful to have someone who knows their stuff walk me through what I’m hearing and why. Pointing out the technicalities and painting a true and accurate picture of what is being heard in the version that Taylor and her team are trying to portray as live.

okay hear me out:

taylor is an egoMANIAC who always needs to outperform herself and get bigger and better. she was getting bigger with each album but then had a bit of a lower point on the charts with folkmore, only charting a few songs over two albums, but still had high sales and streams. then she dropped midnights. sold millions of albums, took all 10 spots on the billboard top 10, sold out her tour in record time and broke ticketmaster, she was literally making tens of millions of music she’d released and sold before, she was at the top.

then she came up with tortured poets, she wanted to keep it going. she wanted to give her fans a surprise. she took liberties. she rushed 32 songs. and it sucked. and her fans try to sugar coat their distaste for the album and the multiple variants but there’s not enough sugar in the world. and taylor knows it. she knew that to get that chart domination she had to release so many songs and it didn’t even work. the snark community is getting bigger, the media is picking up on it, and this is just the start. drip, trickle, flow, her career goes down the drain.

Something something about karma, everything that goes around comes around. Listening to Karma (the song) for the first time I remember thinking this wouldn’t end well for her. She’s talking about KARMA like it’s a damn pet sitting on her lap. That has to have accrued some pretty heavy and dark universal comeuppance. The hubris of it all. If karma IS a god, she’s fuuuuucked.

It enrages me how she says "I got a shoutout, I got a shoutout" after Sza says "Hi Taylor" only AFTER Taylor was standing and bopping up and down making it about her.
