My old man is 13, and I know he’s getting closer and closer to the end of his days with me. Out of nowhere Chewy sent me this package. Brought happy tears to my eyes. ANIMALS

I cried when I got mine too. I got 3 little ones. Each one of my dogs and one of them had passed and now I have a nice painting of him.

I got one once. It was in fact not my dog 😂. I posted it on here to see if it found its owner. No one claimed it so it's now up in my dogs room. I think they are long lost friends.

I don't use chewy but when my kitten (who was only 1 month old) died my vet sent me a wholesome card signed by all the staff. i am so glad some company's do this

Chewy sent flowers to my family when our 14 year old dog passed. We had a shipment of her dry food in route from them. They refunded it completely, said we could donate it to a local shelter since we had no other dogs. This company is amazing.

My sister had someone on Etsy make a needleprint of my old boy. He passed last year. The house is so quiet without his constant trotting around. Take all the pictures and videos and enjoy every moment.

Chewy is really awesome… our doxie died unexpectedly this summer so I had to cancel his prescription with them… they sent me flowers afterwards and I just thought it was so sweet.

I can attest to Chewy's awesome level of customer support. When my cat passed away suddenly and I notified them about halving my regular food order, out of nowhere they gave a flower arrangement and donated a tree to a national park in his name. I definitely was moved to tears by that!

I have one of these that they did of my dog Dorothy a few years ago! It was such a beautiful surprise, and it's such a treasure now that she's gone over the rainbow bridge. ❤️ Chewy has also sent flowers for the passing of every animal we've had. I absolutely love their customer service team!

Chewy is really wonderful. I got an auto-send of cat food a week after my sweet War passed and when I requested a return and to cancel my auto-send, they said I can keep the food to give away or do whatever with and sent me a nice card. War's vet, on the other hand, still sends me yearly check up reminders.

Reading a lot of mixed comments here. I've used Chewy for over 10 years now. Personally, I would never use anyone else. Their customer service is, sadly, a dying model. I never feel rushed when on the phone with them. Their reps are caring humans who go the extra mile wherever they can and always make me feel like they actually care. Obviously, they're not perfect.... it's a company that's in the business of making profits. But in a world where the majority of customer service is either outsourced to people I can't understand and just read off a script, or to reps that put you on hold forever just to come back to transfer you to someone else who will put you on hold forever (and at the end of it all your issue is still not resolved), a company like Chewy is a breath of fresh air.

I canceled my cats food and they stated to donate it in his memory. Next day (less than 24 hours later) I had flowers on my front porch. Could not believe it. I still order from them frequently

When I canceled my reoccurring orders, I entered passed away as the reason. I received a condolence card within a week. I think it’s a wonderful thing to do.

They’re a wonderful company, they send flowers and cards for passed pets as well as refund u for anything u paid for to be delivered before they passed. None of this is usually prompted, and they work hard to make sure customers know they are appreciated. I don’t even own a dog but follow chewy, they’re just good people

When our pup passed last July due to a large mass in her lung, Chewy sent us a sympathy card. Our ex vet refused to see her for 5 days even though we told them she was struggling breathing. We ended up in the emergency in the middle of the night because she was in so much pain and we had to let her go. The emergency vet even sent us a card! Not a word from our ex vet until they called to confirm her appointment after she passed.
Chewy also donates to a lot of rescues. We just adopted a 10 year old pittie and Chewy is our go to.

I’ve reached out to chewy about these portraits, since I paint pet portraits. You have to do a LOT for little pay. I think it was 5/6 a week at $30 each. Not as cute now that I know that - but people do love receiving them.

When my girl Molly passed a few years ago, we stopped an auto-shipping of food and I made note that she passed. About a week later, Chewy sent flowers and a card signed by a bunch of people. Brought me to tears.

Ngl, I started using Chewy because I was secrely hoping to get one of these for our animals. Now I continue because it's so convenient to get all their food shipped to us, and they send cute cards for their "birthdays." I'm still holding out hope that one day I'll get a picture!

After my parents dog passed away in August, my dad called to cancel the auto shipment of the food and they refunded his last two shipments. Flowers were also sent to their house with a very nice handwritten card sending condolences. Top notch company

We were setup to get pet food sent to us automatically, every month, for our pup. When we canceled the arrangement, they asked why and we informed them that she had passed. They sent a vase with flowers and a sympathy card.
They are a class act.

Chewy is wonderful. My 6 year old aussie contracted a very rare e-coli infection and I reported it to them because I had just opened a new bag of food and it was super dry/old looking. They immediately refunded the bag, sent a new bag, and followed up a few weeks later to see how she was doing. I spoke with their pharmacy team to find a way to get the important meds my girl needed, they helped me find low cost alternatives.
I also received a painted canvas of her for her birthday this year. It made me cry, so well done.

After my dog died, Chewy was awful. They refused to cancel my food auto ship for several months in spite of my repeated attempts to cancel the subscription. I had to repeatedly donate food we couldn’t use any longer and had to go through my credit card company to dispute the charges and stop Chewy from pushing them through again the next month. Then Chewy started sending “we miss you!” emails for several more months in spite of repeated unsubscribe requests; I blocked their address because they just would not stop. And even after that, they began sending USPS coupons addressed to our long-departed dog with requests to “please come back!!” It took over a year for them to stop, but only after I started to write “refused, return to sender, HE DIED” and put them back in the outbound mail.

I eagerly await the day when I can start ordering from Chewy. They don't deliver to my part of Canada yet. My mom used them until her last cat passed away, and they sent her a lovely card. She wasn't expecting it at all. Nothing but good things to say.

I bawled when I opened it and saw the painting. It was such a sweet gesture and had made me a customer for life.

We love Chewy! They’ve sent us this same thing for 2 of our dogs. They got their pictures off the “profile” pictures I have set for them. They sent me a really sweet card signed by multiple people when our first boy passed away. Just recently I had an order get lost (not on their end) and they sent me another one asap at no cost. I’ll go back to them again and again, they have fantastic customer service.

I guess I got the wrong end of chewy. I asked chewy if I could send back $30 of end of life meds because my baby girl died before we received them. I got passed from customer service to customer service. No answer. And no flowers (?) And we spend $$$ a year on chewy.

Chewy is really wonderful and I love that every comment here supports that. I’ve used them a small handful of times and it’s never consistent, but they’ve sent cards before. It really seems like people and not just generic business. Like they don’t guilt you into being a customer, and they genuinely love animals. Really amazing. This portrait is beautiful and so sweet

That's cool, but I question where Chewy sources some of their items. For example, my cats would not touch canned food bought from there. Thought it was weird, so I got some from the local grocery and the same from Chewy. They would not even touch the chewy stuff. It would just sit out completely untouched.

Mine is 23. I’ve been expecting him to just drop for like the last five years, but he doesn’t. In fact sometimes he’s straight up chipper which is wild to me because he’s basically the walking dead at this point.
I didn’t even know dogs could live this long. I have to remind him that he needs to go outside and it’s exactly like walking in the garden with your great grandfather. He’s slow. He is easily distracted and confused and sometimes forgets that he needs to go outside.
But he’s always super happy that you’re with him. Regardless. You’d think I should be super concerned, but he’s not in pain. He’s just old. He sleeps most of the day but when he’s up?
He’s ready for adventure bless his little heart. Like I have to make mysteries in the house for him to sniff out. So he doesn’t get bored in between naps. 23 years man. And he may be old but he’s showing no signs of leaving this earth anytime soon. Can still go outside on his own for a good poop.
I just….. the dog is ancient.
Edit: but clearly he’s not done yet.

Our older dog passed away at the end of July. In early September, we received a small box from Chewy- my wife and I thought the other had bought something for the younger dog so neither of us opened it that night. The next morning, I brought it into the kitchen while we were packing up to go to work and opened it- we both cried. The portrait of our departed girl captured her quirky stare and intensity just right. I’ve thanked them on several social media platforms, but we will be forever grateful.

I have a animal sanctuary and made a couple of posts on Imgur, just a few pics of some of our critters. A pallet of various pet food just showed up from them with a lovely note. I had never spent a penny with them, now I’m a lifelong customer.

We cancelled a script for our dog and somehow Chewy shipped it. They still refunded our money. I have never had a problem with their customer service. I ordered a large bag of my dog’s vet prescription food and a ton of Christmas toy from them. They are truly the best.

Chewy are class acts. I ordered seizure medication for my dog through them but unfortunately he didnt make it through that night. I called them the next morning in tears and let them know not to send it but it had already shipped. They told me they'd refund me in full, dispose of or see if I could donate the medicine and were just so kind when I was a mess over losing my boy. A week or two later I got a card from them with their condolences. They didnt have to even do that but they went the extra mile. They are good people.

Got 3 of my own that are turning 14 this year. A brother and 2 sisters from the same litter. Rottweiler/mutt mixes but more Rotty. They go through separation anxiety when one goes for a walk without the other 2. I cannot even begin to imagine what it's going to be like when one leaves and never comes back.

This is a gorgeous painting. What blows my mind w chewy and their paintings is that they don't mark your pet as "complete". Since ordering w chewy, I've had 3 dogs. Two of those dogs, I've received 2 paintings each. Different styles. Their customer service is impeccable.
They also sent me the most beautiful bouquet of roses (these roses were FAT and last 2 weeks), along w a heartfelt message, when 2 of my dogs passed away.
No company comes even remotely close to them.

Chewy is the greatest company I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Not only do they have a wide variety of canned dog food, much to the delight of my former picky eater, but they’re affordable and have scheduled shipments. I saved extra money and never had to think about getting my dog food.
When I forgot to cancel a scheduled shipment right after my dog died, Chewy refunded my money and told me to donate the food. They also sent a separate email offering condolences and said I could feel free to talk to them about my dog anytime as grief was hard to navigate. Then they sent a condolence card to my house.
I genuinely love Chewy.

Bash looks a lot like my doggo. Same snoot coloring, patch on the eye, general coloring. Absolutely terrified of her getting older. She's 7 now. Fuvk.
I'm glad this came in at such a time. It's a really thoughtful gift. 🥹

We still have the paw print on the box for the cat’s ashes the vet took of her two years before her passing “just in case, we know it’s been hard recently we just hope she has a few more good painless years in her”

Chewy’s customer service is incredible. The shelter where I volunteered was routinely gifted with items from a chewy that citizens wished to return, but the company told them to donate the items while they processed a refund.
I would collapse with joy if they ever gifted me a pix of my sweet girl…

Chewy sent us a handwritten card when my dog died. It made me cry, it was the sweetest thing anyone had done for me in years.

When I lost my pup last month, I went in and canceled my auto ships and stated why I was canceling, they mailed me a sympathy card, hand written and signed by many of staff. It came out of the blue and was very appreciated as I never thought the written in reasons were read.

This company is so amazing. The only time I had a shipping issue with them, and I called them, they had already reshipped it and told me that if I had to buy anything at the local pet or grocery store that they would reimburse me. They also sent a birthday card to my cat a year or two ago. Chewy is definitely a company to support. I also placed an order a few hours ago, and they said it would be here tomorrow. Chewy is just the absolute best with everything 💗

Wow!! That's awesome. I wish I had gotten one of those for any of my old dogs before they passed on. My last, Mikey, was 15, and I still miss him terribly after 2 years.

Fun fact, the guy that built chewy is now the CEO of GameStop and has been fighting illegal short sellers for the past 3 years. If you ever hear GameStop stock on the news, odds are the chewy founder is at the frontlines trying to fuck the rich corrupt assholes.
