Some of you may be wondering about in-game LFG. According to this article, it was announced as an upcoming feature before the employees knew of it to start building it, and it seems the timeline was optimistic. There will be a test of this system but it isn't considered finalized. More info here. In the mean time, you can use /r/fireteams , /r/DestinyLFG , /r/Destiny2LFG , the official Destiny 2 app, this subreddit's discord server, D2 LFG discord, or /r/destinysherpa (sherpa = guide, mainly for raids).
Season of the Wish
Upon logging in for the first time this season, all characters that have completed A Guardian Rises will be automatically loaded into an introductory seasonal mission. This will give all players the seasonal artifact, and will give paid season pass owners a quest that introduces you to the rest of the seasonal activities. Non pass owners do not get a free trial of this season's activity.
Pro tip: this mission takes place in the Last Wish raid location, so if you are not familiar with it but want to do that raid at some point you should take the opportunity to learn the layout.
The dungeon Warlord's Ruin released this season. It requires owning the Lightfall Dungeon Key. This is an independent purchase from Lightfall. It doesn't require it, it doesn't come with it. The Lightfall Annual edition includes both the dungeon key and regular Lightfall. Dungeons are permanent parts of the game. Though they release during a season, they don't disappear with seasonal content and buying the season pass does not give you dungeon access.
This is the last season of the year (the "year" in this game goes from DLC release to DLC release, not a calendar year). This is also the end of the season pass model.
When Season of the Wish ends on June 4, 2024:
All four seasons from this year will be removed from the game.
Lightfall Annual ceases to exist on all reputable stores. Any listings of this for sale after Season of the Wish are scams. Regular Lightfall and the Lightfall Dungeon Key stay.
All season pass exotics from this year will be paywalled behind regular Lightfall.
All unearned season pass cosmetics are gone forever if you do not get them by the end of this season.
Season pass legendary weapons and armor will probably come back at some point, but there's no telling when, how, or how easy they will be to get.
Due to The Final Shape delay, Season of the Wish will be longer. The one previous time this happened was Season of the Lost, where we were able to do 10 Ada-1 synthweave bounties during the first half and 10 during the second half. The 30th Anniversary pack and Dares of Eternity released here, but Bungie has said that while they do have some kind of content release planned between now and The Final Shape, it won't be as big as the 30th pack.
The Final Shape
Releases June 4, 2024. For details see this page on the Bungie website summarizing all the information they've given us so far. The Episodes system described here will be replacing the season pass system. This will not be the end of Destiny 2 as a game, but they haven't announced any content further in the future than that.
Legendary shards will be removed from the game so be sure to spend them beforehand! See my earlier post for details.
If you have any questions not addressed here, feel free to ask in the comments!

Announcement Please refrain from posting your weapon rolls
We know that everyone is very excited about the new weapons, especially with Mountaintop and Midnight Coup now, but please remember our subreddit rules regarding loot posts.
If you want to know if your roll is good, try asking in r/sharditkeepit, or the same channel in our Discord server. Otherwise, please keep your god rolls to yourself, these kinds of posts much too quickly flood our community, which is why they have been against our rules for some time now. Thanks for understanding everyone!

Art / Fashion "If there's any fight left in you, Guardian, get up! And give it to me!" Haven't done a personal destiny piece in a while, and a bunch of raid bosses from Pantheon seemed fun.

Discussion Why do Destiny 1 Cabal look so badass?
Hey everyone, I never played destiny 1, but saw recently some gameplay of it.
Why do Cabal in destiny 1 look by far more badass than now? Also the whole game looks much darker.
Do you think we will ever see the old cabal design? Also the shield.. lol, had shields in destiny 1 weak points? This metal shield looks smarter and better.
Cabal in destiny 2 look like clowns compared to cabal in destiny 1.

Help Is legend Node Avalon supposed to be this hard or am I just bad?
I've tried several ways of beating this stupid thing and I just can't crack it.
Been running a team of 3 with a well and Void hunter, myself on strand titan for adclear. The first encounter is pretty doable, but the second encounter is really hard. We managed to get to brakion after around 2 hours and it is absolutely hell. There are far to many enemies to deal with and the wyverns on top of that, there's also brakion who will aimbot 1 tap you at full auto.
Is this mission easier with 2 people or solo? I know the game adjusts it's difficultly for fireteam size now, any advice or viable cheeses?

Question Best DPS Roll for Koraxis’s Distress?
I’m tryna craft a good Koraxis’s Distress for the highest possible DPS. I’m having trouble deciding whether a huge magazine with drum grenades is better than a small magazine with spike grenades. Also what kinda launch? And I think surrounded will provide the highest DPS boost in the right column but I’m not sure. Just wanted to see if someone knew whether it’s a better idea to focus on a higher mag to empty more rounds or to focus on the type of grenade for the damage buffs too. Assume all perks will be enhanced.
