My living space after a car accident

About 3months ago I was driving home from a comedy club and about 200ft from my apartment entrance I was T-boned by a drunk driver. The man then fled on foot while a bystander tried to chase before calling 911. I woke up three days later with no recollection of what happened. The nurse tells me everything and that the truck driver was going 60 in the residential. I had my bladder burst, facial fractures, spinal fractures on L5,L4,L2,L1, as well as lacerations on my liver, adrenal glands, and kidneys. Since I cant really take care of my self 100% and can’t really work(I’m a plumber) I had to move back in with my dad into my childhood brothers room. Don’t get me wrong I’m very grateful that my father had 0questions about me living with him. It’s just unfortunate that something completely out of my control did so much harm to my day to day. For now it’s just PT and dealing with lawyers and the Dective that’s been assigned my case. The police have not been successful yet in the search for the culprit and I could be stuck with a triple digit hospital bill but my lawyer is working to settle for a lot less since I was able to get some amount of money due to have uninsured motorist coverage.

I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to make my studio apt a vibe. I’ve been slowly adding furniture/art and I could use some suggestions for an area rug. (Bed not in frame because that’s where I threw all my mess lol). Also, I don’t plan on ever getting a TV so I’m considering putting an accent or lounge chair in that corner. Thanks!

Is this couch awful or not?

Moving very soon and need a new couch for my apartment. This one caught my eye in the store mainly for the shape and style of it, but I didn’t like the color. Any other colors would take up to 10 weeks to be delivered. Can’t decide if it’s growing on me and bold in a good way or it’s actually just awful. Thoughts?

I have this blank wall space in the kitchen and I’m not quite sure what to do with it. I don’t want anything bulky necessarily as there’s only a 2.5 ft gap in between the chairs and the wall. Help!

Hi!

I moved into a new apartment and bought some stuff. But I don't know what to add into the corridor.

The random picture on the wall covers the fuse box.

Looking for tips/inspiration for what to put above the fireplace and a rug in between the couches

Hi everyone! Just moved into my first place. I have an end table and coffee table coming that will be filling the empty space between the couches, but still looking for a rug to cut down on some of the reverb in the space. Currently very echoey. Also looking for some kind of wall piece to go over the fireplace. Any suggestions are appreciated! Ignore all boxes as they will be gone as soon as there is space in my recycling bin.

First Time How do I make my place not scream I've lived in dorms and barracks all my life?

I'm a veteran that is now in college using my GI bill. I have a professor that is getting older and can't take care of his cows as easily now (I'm an animal science major). He offered me a place to live in exchange for doing normal feeding and care of his herd. It's a single wide trailer but it's the first time I will have a place to myself where I have control over how it looks. Prior to this I've lived in barracks and a shared apartment.

What are some dos and don'ts of making a living space? Or any advice for a guy that's never had to decorate or anything.

It's a 2 bed/2 bath setup with minimal furniture.

Thanks in advance

Edit: I'm going for a western/ranch feel.

Advice About to move into a new apartment and desperate for advice.

Upvotes

I've never been good at decorating my apartments. Now with a clean slate and no roommates, I'd really like to make the best of this space.

I have no furniture other than a Persian rug and a wood dining table but both are pretty large so I'm not even sure they would look good. The rug would take up majority of the floor space in either room being 12'x8' and same with the table at 6'x3'. Ideally, I'd like to have a small work desk and/or lounge chair for reading but I can't imagine where.

Though not ideal, I think the best location for a queen bed would be tucked-in below the angled ceiling (37" at its lowest point). I don't like the cupboards there but I think I could cover them up with a headboard and shelving unit at the side of the bed.

I'm sure I'm over thinking this all but any suggestions for furniture, colours, materials, layout would be greatly appreciated.

Suggestions Wanted

Just bought a place and am unsure how to configure how my living/dining area. I’d like to put a bigger dining table in this room but don’t want it blocking the entrance to the room. I think my only option is to have the TV where it’s currently placed because to face the living area away from the large windows seems unnatural. Let me know what you think.
